The success of your floor depends on 3 things…
Preparation, Preparation, Preparation!!!

The key to success for an epoxy floor is in the skilled
preparation of your substrate floor. The surface to be coated
must be sound, clean, free of old coatings, and properly
prepared so as to have an approximately medium sand-
paper profile. Our initial preparation will be accomplished
with “dust free” mechanical shot blast equipment or
“dustless” diamond grinding in the areas not accessible to
the shot blasting equipment. We own over a quarter million
dollars in state of the art equipment run by our dedicated
employees.

We take special steps and inspection to ensure that this procedure is done right! This is the single most important factor in ensuring that your floor does not fail!

In order to ensure that your new floor meets your entire project needs; preparation may include
the following services at an up charge (cost will vary depending on the condition of the substrate):

Removal of existing floor   Dust protection for clean room
standard environments

Cove Base Detail at the walls
and/or equipment
  Sloping the Drains

Fiberglass Reinforcement of joints   Diamond Grinding

Shot Blastings

What is Diamond Grinding?

A handheld grinder that has rapidly rotating diamond segment wheels. It levels high spots on concrete floors, removes concrete latents as well as paints and coatings and is ideal for
prepping awkward spots. All dust and "waste" from the job is automatically filtered through a vacuum containing a HEPA filter which sucks up even the tiniest particles.

What is Shot Blasting?

Shot blasting is a method used on concrete and tiled surfaces, which prepares the surface for the application of a coating, sealer or epoxy floor. In order for a new epoxy floor, coating or overlay to bond correctly to a surface, it must be clean, dry and profiled. A surface profile is needed to provide a grip or "teeth" for the coating to adhere to. The shot blast machine works by propelling steel shot at a high velocity onto a surface. This shot removes the surface layer of the concrete or tile, taking dirt, coatings, paint or other contaminates with it. A vacuum system in the machine pulls the debris into a chamber where an air wash system separates the debris from the shot. The dust free operation allows you to shot blast in almost any area including sensitive environments such as food processing and pharmaceutical plants.

BENEFITS:

. Removal of the top layer of concrete
. Removal of chemical contaminates
. Removal of curing agents that inhibit the bond of the coating
. Enhances the flooring profile by increasing the surface area.
. Allows floor coatings or overlays to bond and adhere successfully
. Helps level floor
. Smoothes minor imperfection               ^top
